Hey everybody,

Well  I am not sure what I expected when I signed up on this message board and all I can say is that there seems to be a definite lack of response from the moderators. And that is ok,because we are golfers and we don't need no stinking moderators. If you are coming here hoping to get help with your game, well maybe, but it won't be from the moderators  or the shows hosts. I would help anyone I could but I am a hack, there I said it , I admit it. I will shoot anywhere from 99 to 121 given all the variables of the game so handicap that. Like last Sunday best game I ever had Five Pars and I still shot  a 103 I will cherish that game for a long time, probably more than you scratch golfers out there. I just love the game of golf and have come to realize I have no exceptional talent and I get out of it what I put into it (one day a week usually Sunday Morning) and that the real game is me against me. And I enjoy the camaraderie of my friends and the couple of good shots I get each game. I am not sure I would call it relaxation but it is fun.

But I realize I am a hack and I don't really want to spoil others play so I try to play courses that are out of the way and maybe not the country club course. My favorite course that I have been playing this year is http://www.rollinggreengchuntsburg.com/ it is by no means a cow pasture, very well maintained, challenging, friendly staff and about  $40.00 on a Sunday morning. And best of all not many people on the course, last week we teed off at about 9:30 and there was nobody ahead or behind us. We had the whole course to ourselves, talk about Country Club. How much better could it get!

So as much as I hate to say it give this course a try.
Enjoy.

Dave

well last Sunday I played @    http://www.grandviewcountryclub.com/  and had a blast, the best part I got the senior rate ( I am 55 )  $24.00  18/w cart. How can you beat that?
The course was in great shape, it had rained the night before and the greens were fast and that is not good because most of the greens are sloped and although you could stick the ball from the fairway you had to put it in the cup or end up further away than when you started.

I have read some reviews for this course that were not that favorable so the groundskeepers must have made some tremendous improvements since last year because this course is great!
shot a 103/ 1 par

Last Sunday I played http://www.pleasanthillgolfchardon.com/#home.html . I have not played this course in a long time, probably over ten years. And from what I remember nothing has changed. A sprawling course, three nine hole courses spread out over 250 acres that wind their way through at one time pastures and fields, and orchards and woods. The course is rolling with elevation changes on almost every hole. With that many acre to maintain the grounds crew has its' work cut out for them, and they did a admirable job. the fairways and greens were in great shape. The roughs were rough and the waste area were... .. bad, so stay in the fairways.

According to my score (103) for first time play, it was a fairly easy course, with lots of 350yd. par fours, so it should be a good confidence building course. I would rate it a three out of five. $39/18 on Sunday morning and not crowded.
